Otis College of Art and Design Extension partners with FX and their groundbreaking series Cake to present “Piece of Cake” for FX UNLOCKED, FX’s 2020 Comic-Con at Home Experience
Extending the San Diego Comic-Con Experience to Online Audiences for the First Time
FX Unlocked will allow fans to enjoy captivating experiences focused on FX’s top programs.
Los Angeles–July 23, 2020—FX unveiled its full line-up of digital experiences for this year’s virtual San Diego Comic-Con, dubbed Comic-Con at Home. Scheduled for July 23 to July 26, fans will unlock exclusive content, games, and special virtual activations inspired by their favorite FX series.
To bring the groundbreaking series Cake to Comic-Con at Home, FX Networks has partnered with Otis College of Art and Design Extension to create “Piece of Cake” featuring Jeron Braxton, creator of Daytime Noir. “Piece of Cake” gives fans a chance to get a behind-the-scenes look at Cake with an interactive workshop where fans will get hands-on experience learning how they can create their own art. Otis Extension Instructor, Enoch Davis, served as a consultant on the project.
With the pandemic forcing the cancellation of live events across the world, FX was tasked with replicating the fan experience at San Diego Comic-Con for the new online and remote reality. Working with experiential agency Creative Riff, FX designed captivating digital experiences that generate enthusiasm and build hype for their shows.
