Otis Students to Celebrate Day of the Dead with Interactive Altar

The 16th Annual Dia de los Muertos festival at Hollywood Forever Cemetery will take place this Saturday, October 24, from noon to midnight.  Otis students from the Liberal Arts and Sciences class "Modern Mysticism and the Afterlife" will be presenting an interactive altar at the event.  The altar is dedicated to visionary authors Ray Bradbury, Shel Silverstein and Hunter S. Thompson.

The festival itself includes over 100 altars created by community members and groups, a plethora of ephemeral art, musical performances, altar and costume contests and more.  For more information check out www.ladayofthedead.com
