Hello, my name is Heeju Park and I am a motion graphic designer graduating from Otis College of Art and Design in May 2020 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Digital Media, emphasis in Motion Graphics and a minor in Community Arts Engagement. I have experience working as a freelance motion graphic designer, a design intern at a fashion company, and as a teacher’s assistance for a children’s cartoon drawing class. Through these various different experiences, I have the skills in motion graphics, teaching, and editing. I really enjoy taking film photography. Black and white pictures is my main focus, and I am expanding my ability to color film photography. I am skilled with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro) and Cinema 4D. I love to collaborate and be surrounded by people. I love to play with colors and stories.

Answer: Love Myself is a song by Korean pop group, BTS. This song “Answer: Love Myself” is a theme song for a campaign (#Endviolence) BTS started with UNICEF in 2017 and is still continuing. I have created a music video for this song using the story of boy and girl not liking their appearance and as the song progresses, they realize themselves are special and unique.

Happiness is a clothing pattern design that I designed for a children's clothing company located in Seoul, South Korea. The company wanted a childish like drawing pattern, not perfect, which is how I came up with this drawing style. This is a 18ss Clothing pattern design layout and you can also see how it looks on a tshirt, which is the final look. This pattern was created in Photoshop.

Popsicle is an ice cream brand where they have an unique concept of putting fun facts and jokes on their popsicle sticks. I used this concept to create my own commercial. The colors are very pastel and colorful, which are referenced by the popsicle flavors. I used Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere Pro for this project.

Homage is a work created with photography and digital media. I paid homage Nick Knight's series work named, "Roses." Nick Knight's favorite item was roses, so I chose my favorite item, perfumes. I used Photoshop, Adobe Bridge, and a Canon EOS this project.

"Le Fesin" is the title track from the animated movie, "Ratatouille." Everytime I listen to this music it reminds me of ballet, so I mixed a live action ballet video (provided by my sister's friend, Lucy), and digital media tools. I used Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and After Effects for this project.

Oksu is taken with film camera at Oksu train station, Seoul, South Korea. This is a black and white film photography, taken on a Ilford HP5 and Minolta 7000 35MM.

'I'll Wait, Please Wait' is a children's story book written by a famous Korean singer, Lee Juck. This story is about a star being alone in the universe, seeing a comet for the first time, and asking to be its friend. This story was originally created for Lee Juck's daughter. I used Photoshop for this project.

Dreaming of Wonderland is a story of my dream that references "Alice in Wonderland." In this video, you can see abnormal animals that we cannot see in the real world. I wanted to create a story that is very colorful and wonderland-like. I used Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere Pro.

This project's brief was to pick a word and create as many scenes we would like. I chose the word "wild". I made several of the scenes by hand in Photoshop and Illlustrator. I animated this project in After Effects and edited it in Premiere Pro.
