Artist Talk with Lorenzo Hurtado Segovia
Hurtado Segovia’s work is informed by multiple sources, ranging from personal anecdotes to art-historical, theological, and ethnographic motifs. Born in Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, Hurtado Segovia graduated with a BA from UCLA in 2003 and an MFA from Otis College of Art and Design in 2007. His work is exhibited in various museums and galleries in Los Angeles and is in various collections including The Hammer Museum, La Jolla Community Foundation, and throughout Los Angeles County. He lives in Los Angeles and teaches Illustration at Otis College of Art and Design.
