Courses for High School Students and Above
Building a strong portfolio is essential for admission to Otis College and other colleges of art and design. These specialized courses focus on skill-building, creative self-expression, in-depth exploration of art materials and techniques. All courses are taught by practicing professional artists, many of whom teach in Otis’ undergraduate programs. Geared towards portfolio development to support application to Otis and other colleges of art and design.

For course descriptions and dates, faculty bios, and more information, check out the list of current offerings. All courses run for 10 sessions and take place at Otis College of Art and Design’s Elaine & Bram Goldsmith Campus, 9045 Lincoln Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90045, unless otherwise noted.

Open House: Sunday, August 20, 2017 1:00 – 3:00pm
Attend the Otis College Extension Open House to learn more about current courses and programs, as well as meet some of the faculty.

IMPORTANT:
• On the first day of class ALL students must check in with Extension staff by the Ahmanson Building before attending class.
• All K-12 and Pre-College students are required to submit a completed K-12 and Pre-College Programs Mandatory Form. Students are not permitted to attend class without these forms on file.

Other Courses:
In addition to Portfolio Preparation courses, Otis College also offers a 4-week intensive college immersion program, Summer of Art for students 15 and over, and Young Artist Workshops for youth age 5 – 18.
