As a designer, I’m good at three things; increasing user engagement, staying curious, and being optimistic.
A first-person perspective game tells a story from a character’s perspective to increase user engagement in an imaginary world. I use the same method when I talk and design. I seek to tell a personal story in an easy-to-understand format. In the end, everyone shares in the experience. The ability of perspective allows me to see things from the other person’s point-of-view, which in turn helps me stimulate their imagination and resonate with them.
To train my ability of perspective-taking, I’m always trying to learn new ways of seeing. It makes me stay curious and open-minded to everything, from trying a new style of food to walking unfamiliar streets. Trying something unusual is an exercise in creating new possibilities in life. After analyzing experiences, whether they are good or bad, they become the inspiration for my projects. Even though I might sometimes make wrong choices, I’ve learned not to be afraid of failure.
By experiencing and analyzing each mistake in my life, I became more optimistic in any circumstance.
“Stay calm, and seek an opportunity in every calamity.”
