Psychiatric Emergencies

Emergencies (Psychiatric) when the Student Health and Wellness Center is CLOSED:

Life Threatening Emergencies: Call 911. State the problem and your exact location to the 911 operator. Do not leave the student or area. After you call 911, notify Campus Safety and Security (310.665.6965) that you have an emergency and you have called 911.

Students in campus housing should notify their Resident Advisors and Chris Hurley, Coordinator of Resident Life.

If psychiatric services are needed after hours, please utilize the following resources:

*SCH Culver City has a psychiatric inpatient unit within the larger hospital.  Students in need of psychiatric services will be evaluated in their emergency room prior to admission.  On weekends and after hours, students in psychiatric crisis may go to the SCH Culver City emergency room directly without calling ahead.
